Hospitality Ministry
The Hospitality Ministry is dedicated to planning and executing a variety of social events that foster fellowship within the church and the surrounding community. From the welcoming Coffee Hour after services to the delightful Brunswick Town picnic in May, this ministry ensures that everyone has access to good food, refreshing drinks, and plenty of opportunities to celebrate togetherness.
Gather Round the Table
Gather Round the Table invites you to enjoy the warmth of shared meals, whether at your favorite local restaurant or around your own dining table. Each Fall, participants can join a Dine-In or Dine-Out group, or both, where members meet monthly to share a meal and forge new friendships, creating lasting connections within the community.
Newcomers/New Members Ministry
The Newcomers/New Members Ministry is dedicated to making every visitor feel warmly welcomed at St. Philip's. Friendly greeters provide guests with helpful information, invite them to enjoy coffee after services, and encourage them to participate in our Newcomer’s Reception, held twice a year, to explore further opportunities for engagement.
ECW - Episcopal Church Women
The Episcopal Church Women (ECW) consists of all the women of St. Philip's, united in their commitment to one another and to Christ. Through engaging monthly luncheons, crafting activities, rummage sales, and a variety of social events, the lives of the women at St. Philip's are enriched. Funds raised from these efforts support local charities, reflecting their dedication to service and community.
Men's Cooking Committee
Affectionately known as The Breakfast Club, the Men's Cooking Committee serves up the best pancakes, waffles, and biscuits & gravy in Southport! On most First Sundays of each month, you can enjoy a hot breakfast between services. Additionally, this group hosts a special pancake dinner on Shrove Tuesday to kick off Lent, bringing joy and deliciousness to the congregation.
St. Philip's Men on a Mission:
St. Philip's Men on a Mission aims to offer men in the church a meaningful way to strengthen their bonds and engage in community service. This ministry enriches participants, often including women, through informative and engaging speakers that enhance awareness and knowledge, fostering a spirit of camaraderie and service throughout the community.
Our vision is to love God and love others in all we do.
